What the panel does

  • Flags any article on the site that needs a second look.
  • Reviews articles in their area of expertise when asked. When a panel member reviews an article, the article names them and the review date.
  • Comments on new studies in their field.
  • Writes Expert Perspectives articles under their own name.

How it works

Members are invited for their clinical or research credentials in headache medicine and related fields, and their credentials are verified before they join. A review checks an article against the current evidence, and any corrections are made before the article is marked as reviewed.

The panel advises on our educational content only, meaning the MigraineScience articles, the Migraine Resource Hub, and Today in Migraine Science. Panel members aren't paid for their time and don't review or endorse Cerebral Torque products. Being on the panel doesn't mean a member agrees with every article on the site, and nothing here replaces care from your own clinician.

Guided practice

Alternate nostril breathing

A 5-minute guided practice for migraine prevention, from Unraveling Migraine. Captions are built into the video.

  • Prevention, not a rescue. Keep your usual medicine for migraine attacks.
  • Daily practice is what counts. The study behind it used 3 short sessions a day for 3 months.
  • Skip it or stop if your nose is blocked or it starts to feel like a strain.
